Can I speed the healing process?
While there aren't any shortcuts to speed your body's natural healing
process, there's a lot you can do to give yourself the best chance
for a quick recovery. Learn proper sitting and lifting methods.
Specific exercises may be suggested to help retrain the muscles
that support your spine. Proper rest is an important aspect of the
healing process, too. Get the appropriate amount of rest and avoid
sleeping on your stomach. During the healing process, proper nutrition
is more important than ever. Make sure you eat balanced meals, and
if you're a few pounds overweight, now would be a good time to slim
down and reduce unnecessary stresses to your spine. Lastly, keep
your schedeled appointments and follow your chiropractic doctor's
recommendations for optimum results.
Why do children need chiropractic
care?
Since significant spinal trauma can occur at birth, many parents
have their newborns checked for the Vertebral Subluxation Complex.
Later, learning to walk, ride a bicycle, and other activities can
cause spinal problems. While a bandage and some comforting words
can help a skinned knee, the unseen damage to a child's spine is
the unique domain of a chiropractic doctor. Many childhood health
complaints brushed off as "growing pains" can be traced
to the spine. Regular chiropractic checkups can identify these problems
and help avoid many of the health complaints seen later in adults.
Naturally, chiropractic adjusting procedures are modified to a child's
spine. Most parents report that their children enjoy their chiropractic
adjustments and seem healthier than other children.
What if my policy doesn't cover chiropractic?
Your health affects everything you do and everyone you know. It
is the most valuable possession you have. Before you make a decision
about your health based solely on your insurance coverage, our office
offers a free consultation and exam as well as free insurance benefits
check. Before you incur any expense your coverage and out of pocket
expense will be discussed with you. At this point you will be able
to make a decision based on your exam findings and what is best
for your health.
Am I too old for chiropractic care?
Never. More and more people are consulting chiropractic doctors,
especially in their later years. With growing concerns about over-medication
and the side effects of combining various prescription drugs, safe,
natural chiropractic care is growing in popularity. Restoring better
spinal function can help improve mobility, vitality, endurance,
and appetite. Many patients report improvement with arthritic symptoms
and other chronic ailments often associated with the aging process.
The adjusting technique used by your doctor will be modified for
maximum comfort and results. As we get older and wiser, the simplicity
and effectiveness of chiropractic care becomes more and more obvious.
Can I have Chiropractic Care after
back surgery?
Yes. Rest assured that your chiropractic doctor will avoid the surgically
modified areas of your spine. Surgery often causes instability above
or below the involved level. These areas will be the focus of your
chiropractic care.
Can patients with Osteoporosis get
Chiropractic Care?
Of course. When developing a care plan, your chiropractic doctor
considers the unique circumstances of each patient. There are many
ways to adjust the spine. The method selected will be best suited
to your age, size and condition.

How long until I'll feel better?
Some patients experience almost instant relief. Others discover
it can take many weeks or months. Many factors can affect the healing
process. How long have you had your problem? Are you keeping your
appointments? Are you getting the proper rest, exercise, and nutrition?
Do you smoke? Are you in otherwise good condition? Within a short
period of time, most patients sense enough progress to fully carry
out their doctor's recommendations.
How long will I need chiropractic
care?
After patients get the relief they want, many choose to continue
with some type of periodic care. These patients show up for their
visits feeling great. These visits can help support the final stages
of healing and help detect and resolve new problems before they
become serious. Our job is to offer the very best care and your
job is to decide how much of it you want.
Will I receive any medication for
my pain?
No. Chiropractic doctors don't dispense drugs. Because we rely on
natural methods, we can show you how to use ice to control painful
symptoms. When properly applied, ice can have an analgesic and anti-inflammatory
effect without the side effects of pain medication.
Why don't medical practitioners and
chiropractic doctors get along?
Years of prejudice and bias are giving way to research showing the
benefits of chiropractic care. As the public demands alternatives
to drugs and surgery, more and more medical practitioners are referring
their patients to our office. Still, if your medical doctor does
not agree, we can reach out to them about the research showing the
safety and effectiveness of chiropractic as well as spinal decompression.
Remember, they are not experts in the field of chiropractic and
spinal decompression. Regardless of their personal opinions, whether
or not to pursue chiropractic care should be YOUR decision.

Will I ever feel normal again?
Patient results vary. However the goal of chiropractic care is to
balance out the stresses in your life that have caused your problems.
In addition to our chiropractic care you will receive information
and instruction on how to best take care of yourself. So the short
answer is our goal is to return you to your normal activities and
life style.
What if chiropractic doesn't work?
If we're unable to find and correct the cause of your particular
health problem, we will refer you to other specialists who may be
able to help you. Your health is our primary goal. We know that
the more you learn about chiropractic, the more confidence you'll
have that it will work for you. It's safe. It's natural. And it
works. It's a simple idea that has stood the test of time and has
helped and continues to help millions enjoy relief and better health.
Why do some Medical Doctors not recommend
Chiropractic?
Excellent question. Difficult to answer for any individual medical
doctor, but in general most medical doctors treat the patient from
the outside of their bodies in. What I mean by this is most medical
care is relied upon by outside measures like drugs and surgery.
On the other hand most Chiropractors rely upon the innate healing
energies of the body to provide proper body function. I asked the
question before, “How often do you want your nervous system
to work?” Well it’s a known fact that any pressure or
interference to your spinal nerves or any part of your nervous system
can potentially result in any number of diagnoses or sicknesses
that you may seek medical care for. We’re not saying that
drugs, surgery or necessary medical care should never be used. The
difference of opinion rests mostly in each profession’s assertion
that they can help their patients. The real answer is... read

What is Chiropractic? How did it get
started?
The term Chiropractic simply means practice by hands. Chiro meaning
hands and practic well you get the idea. In 1895 in a town called
Davenport, Iowa a man by the name of David Daniel (DD) Palmer discovered
that he could affect a person’s health by moving the vertebrae
of their spine. Simple concept today but back then Chiropractic
went head to head with what we know today as traditional medicine
into challenging the way most people took care of their health.
Patient’s today not only enjoy how chiropractic makes their
backs feel, but how their adjustments help... read
