Chiropractic care can help find and reduce the underlying causes of headaches through a proper exam, where we actually put our hands on the patient’s spine.
Through the manual exam, called palpations, we can actually find and reproduce the cause of their headaches. It is not uncommon that I will find a trigger point in their neck or subluxation and stretch that area out a little bit and they will say, “That’s my headache.” Then we will trace the pattern from their neck all the way sometimes to the occiput, which is the back of the head or the frontal part of the head. After the adjustment and related muscle work they will say that their headache is pretty much gone.
